Teaser Tuesday (3)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser is from Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton :)

"But a dozen feet away, the bird fell from the sky. Its bones shattered, and feathers scattered out, dry as dead leaves."

-Page 64
If I gave the context I may be spoiling it... but it's very dark and morbid. I like :)

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan

"Now--I don't particularly like or care about porn--or the "Adult Books" promised by the sign outside the door--but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my entire night at Frank's Franks not using my fake ID. No. I'm going to the porn store."

This book is HILARIOUS and FULL OF AWESOME. It would be impossible to pick a favorite quote, but here's my favorite on the page I'm reading :)

If I gave some context it would probably make more sense, but I think it's funnier this way.

Wildefire (Wildefire #1) by Karsten Knight

I started Wildefire a couple of days ago when I realized they had it on PulseIt!  If you're a teen, you should definitely check out this awesome community!  (I believe there's an age limit of 19 and under).  Because I'm reading it on my computer, it's taking me a while... but I'm loving it so far!  Hopefully my review will be up in a couple of days.
"In third-period French she awoke halfway through the class to Monsieur Chevalier pounding his fist on her desk and shouting 'Pamplemousse!' over and over again in her face. It was a rude awakening, to say the least."

-Wildefire by Karsten Knight, page 84
Pamplemousse is French for grapefruit I believe.

If you were unawares, this week there's a blog tour for Wildefire!  Everyday, there will be a giveaway for Wildefire (trust me, you don't want to miss these).  Today's stop is at Reading Teen, go check it out!
