Heaven (Halo #3) by Alexandra Adornetto
Publication: August 21st, 2012 by Feiwel and Friends
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal
Only sixteen when she started the series, Ally Adornetto knows how teen hearts beat, and this long-awaited conclusion is certain to be her most popular book yet.Isn't the cover pretty? I actually love all the covers in this series, even though I haven't read it yet.
Bethany, an angel sent to Earth, and her mortal boyfriend, Xavier, have been to Hell and back. But now their love will be put to its highest test yet, as they defy Heavenly law and marry. They don’t tell Beth’s archangel siblings, Gabriel and Ivy, but the angels know soon enough, and punishment comes in a terrifying form: the Sevens, who are rogue angels bent on keeping Beth and Xavier apart, destroying Gabriel and Ivy, and darkening angelic power in the heavens.
The only way Bethany and Xavier can elude the Sevens is to hide in the open, and blend in with other mortals their own age. Gabriel and Ivy set them up at college, where they can’t reveal their relationship, and where there is still danger around each corner. Will Bethany be called back to Heaven – forever – and face leaving the love of her life?
I've also heard some mixed things about this series, but I want to give it a try sometime in the future. I think it's cool that she was only 16 when she wrote Halo though.
So, what are your thoughts on the cover? Are you a fan of this series?
I really like these covers, too, but Heaven's is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE that they are making a heart with their arms. <3
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this series, and not sure I will. I've heard a lot of bad things about it and don't think it's a series for me. :(
Ashelynn @ Gypsy Book Reviews.
DONT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. THIS BOOK IS MORE THAN AMAZING, IT IS PRACTICALLY A MIRICLE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, ESPECIALLY THE ENDINGS. IT MAKES YOU FEEL AT PEACE WITH YOURSELF. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BELIEVE THE BAD THINGS YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteThis series is great. I have read the other two (I'm an avid reader in general; there's nothing I won't give a chance) but so far the series is terrific. It fits nicely in the young adult genre but is fresh and lively, witty and grown up in its own ways. It's a nice take on this world of angels and demons. The covers only magnify the artistic talent of the author in that they are beautifully complimentary and I can't wait to see how the story concludes.
ReplyDeleteI have read the first two books. The first is awsome: Beth is so naive and Xavier is romantic and kind, match made in heaven. The only problem with that book is unlike romeo and juliet ther is nothing pulling them away from each other and nothing much to strengten there love for each other. Hades is boring and I found it hard to get through.I think the author tried to make this book into a book on adventure instead of romance because there is barely any Xavier. I certainly hope this trilogy ends well and cant wait to read it. Oh if anyone will answer; Some people say that Im too young to read these kinds of book.Is it true
ReplyDeleteForgot to add that Im 10

ReplyDeleteI have read the first (Halo) and second book (Hades) in this series. I found Halo a litle slow and boring - however I enjoyed the last few chapters and I liked the concept so I read the second. I really enjoyed Hades, and to be honest I think Jake Thorn isnt all that bad ;) - I am looking forward to reading Heaven!.
ReplyDeleteHmm... Jake or Xavier? They're both awesome... What do you say?
ReplyDeleteFor me, probably Xavier because I couldn't stand the bad-boy vibe...
I have to say that I was kinda upset with the second book. The first one I could read it over and over again but the second book for me could only be readed a couple of times only. Don't get me wrong. I love the Series... I even got friends onto it. I'm really hoping that Book three really wins me over. If not I want a fourth
